FEE DICKSON REID
Fee Dickson Reid’s expressive large-scale seascapes transport viewers to the beach, evoking calm and peace. Her artwork captures the sea’s solace, light-filled skies and reflections on sand and water, aiming to find the ‘still point in a turning world’ and anchor viewers in tranquility and nature.
With a first-class degree in architecture from Edinburgh College of Art in 1996, Fee left architecture in 2009 to pursue her passion for painting. In 2015 she was exhibiting and selling her work professionally while raising two children. Her primary medium is oils though she also uses watercolours and other mediums. In 2018 she received the Watermark Award from The RSW and joined the Scottish delegation at the 2019 Fabriano In Acquarello International Watercolour Conference.
Since 2014 Fee has created art in her North Berwick studio a converted basement below her flat, in her words ‘There’s nothing better than a long walk on the beach then coming home and putting it on canvas.’
Commissioning Artwork
If you like the style and have a particular subject in mind then it may be possible to commission a piece from the particular artist.
The Atelier Gallery has managed many commissions for our clients and believes it is a unique and personal way of purchasing art. We are here to simplify a process that allows you to become fully engaged, as appropriate, with the design and development of a bespoke piece of artwork.
