Born in South Africa, Emmanuelle grew up within an academic environment however at the age of 19 she had a light bulb moment and unexpectedly entered the world of the arts.  This feeling of enlightenment combined with her considerable, previously untapped, artistic talent resulted in critical acclaim followed by her move to the UK and to The Glasgow Academy of Fine Art, where she graduated after 3 years.

Inspired by the traditions of the old Italian masters while energised with a thirst for perfection, creativity and study of the classics, she quickly progressed and ascended from assistant instructor to Principal Instructor of Anatomy.

Emmanuelle’s art is a reflection of her belief in the beauty that exists around us, aiming to capture not just the visual but the emotional and spiritual essence of her subjects. Her work resonates with depth and authenticity, inviting viewers to experience the world through her eyes. Ultimately, her mission is to dedicate her life to illuminating the light within the darkness and create piece of work that will be timeless.
