AMANDA OWENSON

Amanda grew up in East Lothian, graduating from The Scottish College of Textiles in Galashiels in 1984 with a degree in Fashion Design with Management.

Initially using her creative talents in multiple ways until a few years ago when she decided to focus on her painting resulting in positive acclaim.

Amanda is inspired by landscape and how it interacts with the natural elements – the way the light falls, the hidden colours and simply by the the emotions she feels when standing in front of a view.

Based from her studio in East Lothian Amanda has many  wonderful scenes to motivate and inspire her from seascapes to treescapes.  There is almost always an element of water or big skies, but it all depends on the mood of the day!

Commissioning Artwork

If you like the style and have a particular subject in mind then it may be possible to commission a piece from the particular artist.

The Atelier Gallery has managed many commissions for our clients and believes it is a unique and personal way of purchasing art. We are here to simplify a process that allows you to become fully engaged, as appropriate, with the design and development of a bespoke piece of artwork.

To discuss how to proceed then please contact us at info@theateliergallery.co.uk
