JULIA CHANCE

Inspired by the scenery that surrounds her, Julia focusses on the landscape in Cumbria and Southern Germany. With a background in architecture and passion for painting, her abstract interpretations of landscape are highly effective. Aided through thoughtful use of colour, texture, mark making and layering, Julia’s process is one that varies from painting to painting. It can sometimes be an organic, smooth process, but at other times, it is one that she has to “wrestle” with, the end result always leaving an impression on the viewer. The transition from architecture to painting has been a successful one, with her work shown at the Royal Academy of Arts and selling internationally.

Commissioning Artwork

If you like the style and have a particular subject in mind then it may be possible to commission a piece from the particular artist.

The Atelier Gallery has managed many commissions for our clients and believes it is a unique and personal way of purchasing art. We are here to simplify a process that allows you to become fully engaged, as appropriate, with the design and development of a bespoke piece of artwork.

To discuss how to proceed then please contact us at info@theateliergallery.co.uk
