ALISON COWAN

Portfolio of Previous Works

Alison studied at the Glasgow School of Art in the mid 70s and taught for many years in Ayrshire, Glasgow and North Lanarkshire.  She has developed a strong following and is critically acclaimed.

She paints what is around her with a special fascination for trees and how they change as the weather and seasons move.  Through the use of textured thick paint combined with a range of vibrant colours and clever use if light and shade Alison has a wonderful talent for capturing a thought provoking moment with real feeling.

Commissioning Artwork

If you like the style and have a particular subject in mind then it may be possible to commission a piece from the particular artist.

The Atelier Gallery has managed many commissions for our clients and believes it is a unique and personal way of purchasing art. We are here to simplify a process that allows you to become fully engaged, as appropriate, with the design and development of a bespoke piece of artwork.
